This study examines the relevance of the concepts of 'asabiyyah and 'umrān in Ibn Khaldun's Islamic sociology to the content of QS Al-Hujurāt verse 13. This study is here to fill the existing academic gap, considering that previous studies on this verse are still limited to the realm of gender equality, multiculturalism, and moral education values, without anyone seriously discussing it with the sociological framework of Ibn Khaldun. The research uses the library research method with a conceptual and historical analysis approach, relying on al-Muqaddimah as a primary source and various relevant academic literature as secondary sources. The results of the study show three significant sociological correspondences. First, the existence of syu'ūb wa qabā'il, which the Qur'an declares as the Divine will, can be explained mechantically through 'asabiyyah, which is group solidarity that unites individuals into an identity community. Second, the command of lita'ārafū can only be fully actualized under healthy conditions of 'umrān, where various groups interact productively in a shared economic, cultural, and socio-political space. Third, the typology of badawah and ḥaḍdirected by Ibn Khaldun corresponds to the principle of egalitarianism of the verse which emphasizes piety, not the achievement of civilization, as a benchmark of glory. This research contributes to the development of Islamic sociology as a discipline that has strong epistemological roots in the Islamic intellectual tradition.
