Abstract

This article deals with the figure of the profet David in the ancient Islamic tradition, according to the Holy Qur'ān , the Hadith literature , and the profits tales. In the Holy Qur'ān , he is described with  a wide variety of issues as a fighter with unique features to whom God awarded gifts . Whereas in the Hadith literature, he  is perceived as a model for imitation regarding the prayers and the fast. However, in the profits tales , he is mostly seen as David with  Batshevaʾ  According to Islam, such deeds have some folkaric  varieties for example, Arieh's crisis and his marriage are inappropriate for profits and consequently Islam doesn't accept the Biblical story  and it accuses Jews and Christians of the disruption of Ketuvim.
